ain't除了是are not外，它也代表is not, am not, has not, have notain't與are not, is not, am not, has not, have not的用法相同，但往往只在舊式英文，或口語出現

古德明先生曾提過，普遍視ain't為沒有教養的人用語，故不用為宜
