4. In your case, it will be too late. Also, even you want to do that, you will need your school to certify your Hong Kong education is equivalent to a high school graduate.

Here is what you have to do:

a. Make sure that your counselor has evaluated your transcript and converted your Hong Kong courses into high school credit. So that you can know what you are missing.

b. After that, see how far you are really from high school graduation. Make decision based on how far you are from.

c. Always talk to your counselor (both academic and career) and see what kind of options you have (although mostly you will end up in community colleges).

1) as far as I know, you NEED to have a high school diploma to meet the requirement to apply for community college.

2) Talk to your counselor. My sister came to NY after she finish F.5. She got some of the credit from HK school to transfer to high school credit here. She was able to finish high school in two years, take the SAT and go to a 4 year college instead of community college.

2) If you think that you are able to handle college english, you can try taking assessment test provide by the school in order to put you into an appropriate level of english

3) some of the courses require you to take at least a good result in high school. If you did not take it or if the result is unsatisfactory, you may need to take the introductory level of program

4) as long as you have finished grade 12 and you have received your high school transcript, in any circumstance you are not qualified to apply community college
