Divide both numerator and denominator by cosθwe have,
[(sinθ+3cosθ)/cosθ] / [(3sinθ-cosθ)/cosθ]
= (tanθ + 3) / (3tanθ - 1)
= (2/3 + 3) / [3(2/3) - 1]
= 11/3
