1. Suggest on function of the tissue palisade mesophyll,giving an explanation for your answer

1. The palisade mesophyll cell contain a large amount of chloroplast which is needed for photosynethesis. Also, they are closely packed and are arranged on the top of the leave to enhance the absorption of sunlight for light energy,

2.Nymphaea is living in water and thus large air spaces is need because it helps to increase the buoyancy of the leaf, allowing it to flow on the water to absorb sunlight for photosynthesis. Also the air spaces enhances gas exchange between cell as stomata is only found on the upper side of the leaf.
