The Yankees still have a better chance of making the WS than the Rays.

even though im a yankee fan i think rays because yankees only have possibly two consistent starters in the playoffs in CC and andy, Hughes will probably go bullpen.

I hope the Rangers, I fear the Rays. The Yankees will have their hands full with the Twins or Rangers in the divisional series. As pointed out, their starting rotation falls off after Sabathia. How good will Pettite be after being on the DL? How about A-Rod? They are not winning the pennant with Nova as their #3 starter and Nunez at 3rd, no offense to either for filling in ably. The other question mark is Kerry Wood. Is he ready to be the lock down set up guy? And uncork the champagne, Joba the Hutt got his ERA under 5 yesterday.

Yankees Bullpen is screwed they have two contestant starters and that will not do in post season play.

Ideally, neither would reach the ALCS, and the Rays wouldn't even get to the ALDS.

Realistically, whichever team wins the division has the better chance of defeating the other in the ALCS and advancing to the World Series.
