The equation of state for mass m of an ideal gas may be written pV=mrT.

點解 The value of r depends upon the particular gas used?

r 不是固定的嗎 ? 在這裡是否指 Universal Gas Constant?

The "r" here in your equation is NOT the Universal Gas Constant, because you have used the mass of gas m in your equation.

The form of equation where the Universal Gas Constant R is used is:
pV nRT
where n is the number of mole of gas.

The relation between m, r, n and R is,
since n = m/M, where M is the molar mass of a particular gas
hence, nR = (m/M).R
i.e. r = R/M
thus r depends on the gas type.
