No, you cannot issue your USA City bank cheque to pay your tuition fee in HK with HKD, because HK City bank have different system to US City bank.

If you want to issue the cheque to pay your tuition fee in HK with HKD, you have to issue this cheque from any of your HK bank account.

Most of banks in US can do the wire transfer to any bank account in HK, you just need to ask your school in Hong Kong and provide you the account details.

I will recommend you transfer your money through the bank you have account in US because the transaction cost will be lower.

open an new acount in HK citibank.

write a check or transfer all your money you need into new acount.

then use the HK new citibank acount to write check for all you need.

你可以由美國做 Wire Transfer 匯錢到收款人嘅港元戶口， 你可以寄美元嘅數碼 或者港元嘅數碼。 比如你要寄HKD2,000 俾收款人， 你可以到你在美國的開戶銀行同 Customer Service 講， 你要收款人收到 exactly 港幣 二千元。 Customer service 就會同你查到當時嘅 rate (匯率） 話比你知要在你戶口扣取相當嘅美元同手續費。 你亦可以直接寄美元， 比如USD260, 但係因為匯率每日不同， 收款人就可能收不到HKD2,000 的港幣。

你要匯款到香港， 你要俾下面資料俾你嘅匯款銀行（比如 Citybank）
