Both are correct (Both are kind of honor/honour degree)
But the "Degree of Honor" (Going to use American English now) is different.
Perhaps i should use the American Bachelor Degree system (As they used Latin) to tell you what is the different.
The 1st case you mentioned is called an "Honor Degree" or in Latin "in cum laude" which translate to English directly is A bachelor degree with honor.
There are 3 types of honor in US System (and correspondent UK System) they are
Cum Laude - With Distinction/Honor (UK: 3rd Cls Honour)
Magna Cum Laude - With High Distinction/Honor (2nd Cls Honour)
Summa Cum Laude - With Highest Distinction/Honor (1st Cls Honour)
These degree are generally given in correspondent to a student who have complete with Distinction in related to their study, be that with the same cirriculum than non-honor degree. The GPA or mark refect what Honor the student would get.
Sometime the academic governing body would just not confer an honor title to a course if they are not distinct in nature.
The 2nd case you mention is an "Honorary Bachelor Degree" or in Latin "honoris causa" English Translate to "Degree for the course/sake of Honor"
The only different of this honor to the Cum Laude Honor is, Honorary Degree is to regonize the awardee own's merit, NOT THE MERIT OF THE DEGREE. If the awardee merit superceded the normal requirment of Matriculation, the degree will be conferred to the awardee with the clause of honor.
Both Honorary Degree and Honorary Doctoral are generally confer as a award.
2)在理工大學中有d課程有寫榮譽有d沒有的.....
Not directly no, you can apply for an honor year after an non-honor degree but if you finish a non-honor degree, mean your course does not warrant merit to award honor, thus you will not be awarded an honor degree.
參考: got a non-honor degree couple of year back
