1) That means when 21-3 = 18 , 30-3 = 27 , 48-3 = 45 cards are divided equally among a group of students , no cards left behind in each case .The greatest possible number of students= The HCF of 18 , 27 , 4518 = 2 * 3 * 3
27 = 3 * 3 * 3
45 = 3 * 3 * 5HCF = 3 * 3 = 9The greatest possible number of students = 9
2a)20 = 4 * 516 = 4 * 4a)
The LCM of 20 and 16 is 4 * 4 * 5 = 80The least possible length of the sides of the square = 80cmb)(80 * 80) / (16 * 20)= 20 pieces of retangular cards are needed for making the square.
