燒街衣時產生的煙是什麼化學物質？如何消除有關氣味？

Primarily you are burning colored paper & a very thin layer of metal("金銀")coated on them . The smoke contains a mixture of CO , CO2 , water vapour , oxides of dyes , metal oxides , ashes(carbon blacks particles) & etc . You cannot easily to remove the burning odor as ordinary people do the tradition burning for the ghost once per year , they will not care less ! One easy way is to burn the paper slowly let the combusion completely with plenty oxygen supplied . Or you can connect the smoke to pass through a water chamber , let the harmful gases dissolved into the water & ppt the carbon ash too .

要完全燃燒，在燒街衣時，每一次燒少量，慢慢燒；若要燒很多，可以用竹枝撥動燃燒中的街衣，使空氣多進入火團中。另，用多孔的化寶筒亦有幫助。

我家沒有燒街衣的習慣，不過，不完全燃燒的產物多為酸性，可以袋一小袋石灰在身，或在化寶筒旁放一小筒鹼水，因為鹼會吸酸，可能有用。
