1. All five sides of a pentagonal garden are equal in length . A fence of 120m long is built along the boundary of the garden . Find the length of each side of the garden .
2. Maggie is cutting a rectangular ribbon into an area of 36c㎡ . If the width of the ribbon cut is 2cm , find its lenth .
3. The area of a square handkerchief is 81c㎡ . Find the length of the side of the handkerchief .
4. The length of the floor of a rectangular room is 3.5m and its width is 4m .
(a) Find the area of the floor .
(b) Now there are some square tile with sides of 50cm each . How many tiles are required to cover the floor completely?

2. 36/2 = 18cm
3. 81 = 9 X 9
Therefore, length of each side is 9cm
4. (a) 3.5 X 4 = 14 m2
(b) Area of square = 50cm X 50 cm
= 2500 cm2
= 0.25 m2
Therefore, number of tiles = 14/0.25 = 56
