9-11 Responder Health Care Bill?

Yes, Democrat's screwed up in how they brought this bill to the house floor. However, the bill did not pass due to Republican opposition- the given reason being that it was to be financed by instituting a "new tax", which was in fact closing a loop-hole in tax law that allowed some foreign companies to avoid paying taxes on profits made in the U.S.. The only legitimate reasoning for striking down this bill (which would have provided free healthcare to the responders of 9-11 for illnesses directly deriving from conditions at the disaster site), is more or less that the GOP is dedicated to opposing the Democratic majority at even petty opportunities. Can anyone justify this?

If that was the case, then I guess we should see the GOP bring that bill back without the things they did not like in it.

But I bet you the GOP will not do that.

They GOP values money over lives you see.

Yes, the bill was written poorly and should not have passed.

There are other programs that are more suited to the needs of the first responders that will protect the following:

a) quality of the service the persons actually receives

b) cost effectiveness

c) appropriate "billing" for the needed care in that the first responders should not be incurring any costs associated with the needed health care.

d) the health care they need is in excess of the standard requirements/job description of their jobs since they in fact responded to an "act of war".

e) the proposed program promoted wasteful excess of costs since in implemented a separate program.

9-11 has become an exploitable political tool, and the victims will continue to be used for political purposes by the politicians.

They should have been receiving their health care all along and provided the number and address to send all bills for review to the VA, considering they were doing the work of the Army on that day, since it was an act of war.

This is why 9-11 was processed under the guise of "terrorism" instead of the correct classification of "act of war". It was simply a tool to further the political goals of the Nation.

In fact, that is why it happened in the first place.

edit: the bigger problem and indicator of the overthrow of the Nation is supported since the military has failed to respond in "unity" to the needs of all Americans who have stepped up under the crisis experienced due to the act of war.

It appears in some ways, the military has used the act of war as a means of establishing better services for gov agencies instead of average civilians--which in fact is a secondary indication of the use of 9-11 as a tool to overthrow the nation's Constitutional law.
Within Constitutional law, the military would have been required to respond to the workers who in fact did the Army's job, instead this "new army" is leaving them to die and incur expenses that in fact belong to the federal gov under a different job description. They are not here for the American people or the good of America--they are here to create an "authoritarian regime", and have been successful.

If the democrats put forth a bill that said "the USA is number 1" , the republicans would filibuster it

While the stated intent was good the bill was poorly written and the "earmarked" taxes went into General Fund and would never have reached intended victims just gone to line another politicians pocket.
American Citizens are fed up with Democrats corruption and Republican party has figured out that to win in Nov they have to stand firm on rip offs by government!

so you're saying you're against this kind of self-serving partisanship?

yet BP (a private corporation) should fund all clean-up and damages out of it's own pockets because "it's not the taxpayers' job to pay for disaster recovery" but it's ok for the taxpayer to pay for the health care costs related to another disaster so that insurance companies (more private corporations) are let off the hook?

gee...if "big oil" is behind the RNC, I wonder which side the big insurance companies back..... hmmmmm....

It replaced right into a grossly overpriced invoice. They finally have been given it handed whilst Democrats certainly allowed Republicans take section in the negotiations. Republicans gained administration of the homestead because of the fact of battles like this one the place human beings around the rustic observed that there replaced into no tax payer expenditure that replaced into too intense for Democrats.
