The Swedish people in Sweden rarely speak English among themselves. They have their own language, Swedish. They learn English in school. Young people understand English. They enjoy listening American and British pop music and sometimes watch English TV programs and movies. You will find majority of university students speak quite good English. Only in small towns and countryside, you will have problem communicating with old people if you don't speak Swedish. A Swede is a Swedish citizen or a person of Swedish origin.

I worked in Sweden before.

The official lauguage of Sweden is Swedish but Swedish speaks English too

From Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden

In varying degrees, depending largely on frequency of interaction with English, a
majority of Swedes, especially those born after World War II, understand and
speak English due to trade links, the popularity of overseas travel, a strong Anglo-American influence and the tradition of subtitling rather than dubbing foreign television shows and films, and the relative similarity of the two languages which
makes learning English easier.

Sweden speaks Swedish.

There are some Sweden speak German too

Besides the above, some people do speak English like Chinese, Japanese, German, French or Korean, whose mother tongues are not English
