1. It takes 4 hours for two pipes to simultaneously fill up a swimming pool. If one
pipe at a time is used to fill up the swimming pool, the larger pipe would take 6 hours less than the smaller pipe. Find the time it would take the smaller pipe to
fill up the swimming pool.

2. Find the values of the real numbers x and y if

(1) (3+xi)(1-i)=4+yi
(2) (2-4i)/(x+yi)=1+i
