What's the point of asking you those tricky questions at interview? I hate those questions the most.

Interviewers feel you have prepared for everything and have pat answers to every possible question. You may even been coached by parents or professionals. If that is true they won't get to see you think on your feet. They know most people are nervous and don't expect a perfect answer but that trick question gives them an idea of how you will handle pressure.

Part of almost any job is being able to handle stress/pressure as well as being able to handle problems that come out of nowhere. And I should add having to deal with co-workers than can be "difficult," you know?

They just are testing you to see if you're the person who can respond with a cool head when something happens, or if you're going to go bonkers, or worse yet, do nothing and try and hide the problem.

You have to remember they're looking for people who are going to be around the company for a while and maybe even move up the ladder there. So they're not just testing you for "today", they're trying to see what kind of a manager you might be "tomorrow."

There are some really good books for sale online and at public libraries that deal with nothing but how to deal with difficult interview questions. There's several and they're all good. If you have the cash buy not one but two. Or if you can't, get one from a library. No library? Look online. Do a search for "most difficult interview questions" and you'll get lots of good stuff..

In short, they're just trying to see how you react to pressure in terms of actual job duties/tasks and also how you react to people problems on the job.
參考: I just learned this from working for large and small companies for 20 years, being in tons of interviews, and talking to managers who were willing to "spill the beans.."

Interviewers want to see that you can think on your toes. When I conduct interviews I usually am not interested in the answer as much as how the information is presented.

To see if you can think and resolve a problem quickly.
