Almost Impossible!
(1)All notebook computers m/b are made to fit the case, or vice versa. That means you cannot find another "better" "newer" mother board that fits your case.
(2)Very expensive to modify it to fit.
(3)No matter how expensive your old machine is, i.e. high end model, with today's technology, get the cheapest price notebook made today will out-perform your old machine.
(4)Depend on what causes your machine to run "slow", adding RAM sometimes can cure the slowliness, esp during start up. If you old machine has 256 or 512MB, it is the cheapest way to "upgrade" You can also do a ctrl-alt-del to call up the task manager, check the physical RAM and available amount.
