Ballroom, latin and swing dancing.

Salsa and cha cha are excellent excercise. (for latin)

Swing hustle and single swing are excellent, especially as you go more advanced in single swing. (lots of drops and flips and turns. not as hard as it looks either :D )

It's very fun right from the start and you don't have to be competitive, it's very very social. You can dance cha cha, salsa and swing hustle (as well as some slower dances such as bolero and rumba) in clubs and things as well to popular dance music, plus you look more impressive than all the drunk slutty people. (lol)

It's usually cheaper to take than things like ballet. There's no easy easy dance to learn, it always takes work and a partner that you connect well with. The fastest way to learn is to dance with the old folks who know what they're doing. especially being a lady. :) they have to lead not you, and if you have a strong leader you will learn much much faster.

if you want something just for its fun and calorie burning to something like zumba or arobic based. Most general styles of dance such as hiphop, jazz, contemp, ballet, ballroom, require hard work commitment and you need to be in it for the love of that style to get out what its worth and not just for calorie burning and fun. Just saying this so you won't waste your money on classes that you won't receive as much in return as you pay. If you really really want to do an actual dance class try jazz as most of the time you have fun, and get your heart rate up and once a week classes don't require as much commitment.
Otherwise try your local gym, most gyms now have different dance class that are simply focused on fat burning and having fun while your at it. Hope this has helped and I hope you find what you're looking for ! xx

My daughter is a dancer & I wanted to get some exercise so I took some adult beginner classes in ballet, jazz and zumba. I had no prior dance experience at all & am very uncoordinated. For me Zumba was hard to keep up because it was so fast paced & they switched dance styles very fast. It was a lot of fun though & nobody else looked like a pro either so it was ok. Jazz was the easiest out of the 3 and was my favorite. I love ballet but that was definitely the hardest of the 3. It really helps with strength and flexibility though.

OK, let me think about this...
Ballet isn't very easy once you pass the basic steps.
Contemporary is hard from the start but I've heard it gradually gets easier (?).
Hip hop begins easy and gets harder as you get more advanced.
Tap would probably be the same as hip hop.
Jazz I'm not really sure, it would probably be the same as hip hop and tap.
No style of dance is really 'easy' (sorry, I know you didn't want to hear that) but they're all fun so give them a go :) For the most fun, I would probably look at hip hop or tap. Good luck and I hope I helped.

It's probably not the easiest to learn, but belly dancing has been known to burn lots of calories once you get the hang of it. Plus there are lots of different styles to choose from :)

hip-hop is pretty easy to start of with, pop n lock also
b-boy branches off further from those styles but b-boy is pretty difficult when you get off on a further level of it. it's great way to express yourself through music by dancing.
in my opinion all three are fun especially b-boy.
hip-hop, pop n' lock, & b-boy can bring you to some of the most amazing things you'll ever see
all you really need to put into dancing is your heart and soul.
dance to express not to impress
