Oxygen is being oxidized.
Carbon is being reduced.

Substance being oxidized = reducing agent
Substance being reduced = oxidizing agent

Therefore, oxygen is the reducing agent and CH4 is the oxidizing agent.

It enables to know that one mole of gasoline is 22.6 liters. (at usual temperature and tension: 25 tiers Celsius and a million environment of tension) in case you have 2.seventy 5 liters, convert that to moles with the help of dividing with the help of 22.6. because of the fact it is in moles, convert moles of methane to moles of oxygen (multiply with the help of two). then multiply that with the help of 22.6 to get liters of oxygen.

Oxygen is being reduced, not oxidized
Oxidation number change from 0 ------> 2-

Carbon is being oxidized
Oxidation number change from 4- --------->4+

O2 is oxidizing agent
CH4 is reducing agent
