Director fee vs remuneration

In general, fee means the amount you received because you are just holding the office as a director of the company while remuneration means the amount you received because you are holding the position as a director and is working like an employee for the company. In principle, fees are given to all directors if approved by the shareholders of the company whether they are working just like an employee for the company or not. So, a director working as an employee of the company may receive fee + remuneration. But, in general, we usually collectively call it Directors' Fees and Remuneration.
