Free sci fi mmos with customization?

im looking for either a sci fi or post apocalypse set MMORPG that's 3d and customize able armour,weapons and appearance. I already know about Z-day and Huxley the Dystopia but neither of those are out yet and face of mankind lost its charm with me with the limited stuff non-members could do so can anyone help?

anarchy online is suppose to be getting a graphical update.. it is pretty old though.
