When parents and teachers complain to their children, some kids may not like it. Therefore, they will try to do their best so to make adults stop moaning about. (剥人排牙)
Parents always want their children to achieve better results in academics or other extra curricular activities out of care. When they complain to their kids, they actually only hope that they can do better. Consequently, they can be proud of their children in front of other parents.
Teachers also hope their students to get greater results in their tests such that they can boast about it before other teachers.
Aside from being selfish, parents and teachers may also hope to help their kids by complaining to them. Usually, if children are told the same thing repeatedly, they would sometimes remember them by heart. Therefore, complaining to kids and make parents and teachers achieve their goals of letting their children achieve good results.
