Dear Chris,
I received your letter and thanks for telling me. That seems like a big problem. Let me give you some advice.
If I were you, I would stick to your parents, and choose the science class. Why? Your parents look after you for so long that they understand you more than others or even you! Besides, they have a lot more experience than you do. They will always do the best for you. Like what you have wrote “It will be a bright future and good prospects for me.” So you should trust your parents and choose what they advise. Secondly, this is a big moment of your life, so you should choose your classes according to their advantages but not if you like it or not. If you really like Chinese History and English, you can pick it up sometime later, for example, during summer holidays, long vacations or after you have turn into a grandpa! They will not go away.
Well, since this is your big day, I cannot choose for you. Just remember, either of what you choose, never feel guilty for it and try your best, work hard. Even if you think you have chosen the wrong choice, this absolutely will not be the cause to lend you to a failure life. So just relax and think of the best.
