a merchant buys some toys at 960. if he sells them at$8 each,he will get his sum of money back by selling only 80% of them. if he sells all of them,find the profit percentage.


hint: find the number of toys first.

Since he will get his sum of money back by selling only 80% of them, so that means when he sells 80% of all the toys, the money he get is 960.

Hence, the total money he can get if selling all the toys=960/80%=$1200

Profit percentage=(income-cost)/cost*100%=(1200-960)/960*100%=25%.
