FOIL (First, Outside, Inside, Last) gives us:

First: 2√2
Outside: -8
Inside: 2
Last: -4√2

Add those together, and we get -6 - 2√2, which is answer #2

10(m-3)+2(5-3n)-4(-4m-7n-9) -> 10m-30 +10-6n +16m+28n+36 convey at the same time like term -> 10m+16m+28n-6n-30+10+36 -------------------------->26m+22n+sixte... is your very very final answer (8x+y)/x, whilst x=7/2 and y=7 -> first do 8*(7/2)+7 = (fifty six/2) +7 = 28+7 =35 -> then 35/(7/2) = 35/3.5=10 in case you won't be able of try this you're in hardship. What grade are you in? i'm hoping it fairly is 6th grade or shrink.

let's see...we'll use the FIFO method:

2^.5 * -4 = -4(2^.5) plus (2^.5)*(2^.5) = 2 - 4(2^.5)

and the other
2 * -4 = -8 plus 2*(2^.5) = -8 + 2(2^.5)

add everything...
2 - 4(2^.5) - 8 + 2(2^.5) = -6 - 2(2^.5)

which from your list is #2.

Viola!

(2 + √2)(√2 - 4)
= 2(√2) + 2(-4) + (√2)(√2) + (√2)(-4)
= 2√2 + (-8) + 2 + (-4√2)
= 2√2 - 4√2 - 8 + 2
= -2√2 - 6
= -6 - 2√2
(option 2)

Multiply each term by the other term in the bracket by the other 2 terms in the other bracket.

=2√2 -8 √2^2 -4√2

=2√2 -8+2 -4√2

=-6 -2√2
