1. Assumed you mean to eliminate the log sign.0.5logY = K - 2Y
log Y = 2(K- 2Y)
so Y = 10 ^(2K - 4Y) or
Y = e^(2K - 4Y) for natural log.
2. You really mean to find Y given the value of K, this can be done by graphical method. The equation is equivalent to log x = 2K - 4x, draw the graph y = log x and the graph y = 4K - 4x, the intersecting point of these 2 graph will be the solution to the equation.
