遇溺英文係咩呀?５點

遇溺英文:
(1) drowning 用作動詞或形容詞時，解正在遇溺，未知生死
e.g. The lifeguard pull a drowning boy out of the pool.
e.g. The man fell off the boat and was drowning; fortunately a fisherman jumped into the icy water and rescued him.
*用作名詞時，解溺死了。
e.g. The number of drowning cases has increased sharply this year.

(2) near-drowning (名詞) 遇溺，險些死了，但沒有死。
e.g. The number of near-drowning cases has increased by 25% this year.

(3) almost got drown (動詞) 遇溺，險些死了，但沒有死。
e.g. He almost got drowned yestersday. Fortunately the lifeguard saved him.

如果用 drown 作動詞，尢其是 past tense, 解遇溺死了。
e.g. Three boaters fell off the water here during the storm yesterday, one drowned.

drown是遇溺，死或不死另外交代。

溺斃 - drown and died / drown to death.
遇溺獲救 - drown but survied / drown and rescured

drown to death

即是浸死咗。


遇溺不知道

不過如果話佢溺斃就系drown

一般都只會教drowning或drown是遇溺，但好少交待死唔死。
平時(泳或風季)多看些英文報(Standard已有得免費取閱)，
看看啲記者點寫遇溺獲救跟遇溺死了的寫法。
