If the probability of student knows the answer = 3/4, find the probability that the student knows the answer given that the student answers correctly? ( Ans. 12/13)

P(the student answers correctly)= P(knows the answer ) + P(correct guesses)
= (3/4)(1)+ (1/4)(1/4)
= 13/16

= P(knows the answer) / P(the student answers correctly)

= 12/13
