Prepaid Card Rates and Charges
LOCAL CALLS
Singtel:
S$0.16/min during the day (8am to 7:59pm); S$0.08/min during night (8pm to 7:59am) on local calls.
M1:
S$0.16/min during the day (8am to 7:59pm); S$0.08/min during night (8pm to 7:59am) on local calls.
Starhub:
Flat rate of S$0.22 on the first minute and S$0.08 per subsequent minute.
The SMS rate for the three prepaid service providers is S$0.05.
You can request for a turn-on of unlimited FREE incoming calls service but you have to pay daily for this service.
Singtel : S$0.60 a day.
M1 : S$0.59 a day
Starhub: S$0.70 a day
If you expect to more than 5 mins of incoming calls during the day, it is advisable to activate this service. Otherwise, you will be charged with the incoming calls at the above rates. You can deactivate the free incoming call if you do not expect more than 5 mins of incoming calls the next day.
INTERNATIONAL CALLS:
To make an overseas call, you need dial the access code followed by the country code, area code and telephone. Each telephone company in Singapore has its own International Direct Dialing (IDD) access codes:
SingTel: 001 (best quality), 013 and 019 (VOIP based, best value)
M1: 002 (best quality) and 021 (VOIP based, best value)
Starhub: 008 (best quality) and 018 (VOIP based, best value)
All three companies offer attractive International Direct Dialing (IDD) rates for prepaid card users. They all offer FREE IDD calls (using the VOIP access codes and local charges appy) to Hong Kong fixed lines. IDD rates will apply if you're calling to Hong Kong mobiles.
