因為當時英軍用Lee-Enfield還用得不錯,而且如果突然換槍,英軍又要重新訓練,又要回收Lee-Enfield.還有在戰時突然換槍是很要命的

第一,M1係美國貨,感覺上不好
第二,四號歩槍裝彈量多,火力較高
第三,四號歩槍精度高,有一段時間被用作狙擎用途

第四,兩種槍的口徑不同,會對後勤做成負擔
第五,兩種槍的後坐力不同,士兵需要一定時間適應
第二,四號歩槍裝彈量多,火力較高
