First of all, the manager can choose 7 clerks randomly out of 15 which has a total of 15C7 possible combinations.

Then for the remaining 8 clerks, when choosing 5 (or 3) randomly, has a total of 8C5 (or equivalently 8C3) possible combinations.

Therefore total no. of possible groups = 15C7 x 8C5 = 360360
