An economist predicts that the buying power B(x) of a dollar x years from now will be given by the formula B(x) = 0.15x. How much will today's dollar be worth in 4 years? Round the answer to the nearest cent.

B(x)=.15x
B(4)=.15*4
B(4)=.60

Simply substitute x=4 in the given equation and you will get B(4)=$0.60.

The formula is inconsistent. Based on the function B(x), the buying power of a dollar issued now will not be the same as the buying power of a dollar issued four years later.
