It was only bad because no one knew if it was a goal. Kane finessed his way through well and took a good shot through Leighton's legs.
2010 Western Conference Quarterfinals Game 3, COL 1 - SJ 0 OT.
San Jose defenseman Dan Boyle backhands a clearing pass into his own net less than a minute into overtime in a scoreless game with the series tied.
Might not be the worst ever, but it's the worst I can think of at the moment.
Explain to me, if you will, what was sooooo bad about it?
That it wasn't recognized as a goal immediately?
That another 5-hole shot got by Leighton?
That it was Patrick Kane, a young player (on an impossible angle, mind you)?
Or, that it was scored by a Blackhawks player and not a Flyer?
I believe that Leighton was more surprised that Kane shot, rather than passed the puck.

If you are referring to last night....I SO disagree. Actually, that goal i will remember till the day i die. (hopefully that will be a very very long time lol). It wasnt even my team, and it wasnt even the team i wanted to win......but the pure emotion and excitement from Kane after scoring...wow. He was the only one that was 100% sure it was in. You could tell he was Hungry for it, and i love that about a Hockey Player. Also what i liked, as he jumped up and down and threw his gloves off (reminded me a little bit of Stevie Y's infamous goal against the St. Louis Blues) was he skated right to his goalie and then thats when the real celebration began. I think honestly ever since i started watching Hockey, and out of all the games i have seen (which is A LOT, i dont just watch Wings Games)....that moment is going to be in at LEAST my top 5....I enjoyed every minute of the game, and i loved the ending. (And like i said earlier, i was rooting for Philly, who still should be damn proud of themselves!). :o)

It was a clear cut goal. Just cuz no one but Kane originally saw it go in doesn't make it a bad goal.
It was surprising that it went in but it's a very fast game and anything can happen. I'm sure Leighton wasn't anticipating that Kane would shoot but getting the puck on goal is the name of the game, especially in overtime. There have been MANY other game winning goals that were worse than that. How about when Steve Smith put the puck in his own net to end Edmonton's season or when the puck came down out of the air and bounced off Tom Barasso's back and went in. The list goes on and on.
Wasn't as dramatic as you would want but i wouldnt say that was the moment where chicago won it. They won it in game 5 i think. That just secured it. game 5 was the most crucial.
Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals! DUH!!!
And, if the Flyers want to sue the NHL for allowing a (bleepy) game-winning goal, so be it. But, Patrick Kane won the Blackhawks the Stanley Cup with the craziest show in 11 years.

if you are referring to Kane's goal to win the cup then whats so bad about it.if you think it was a soft goal that should have been stopped then every one has a right to there opinion.i had no problem with it.
