Are you in the U.S.? If so, you have no need to change channels on that set. If you can get it on either channel 3 or 4, leave it there. Then connect an antenna and an over-the-air converter to it. That's the only way you're going to receive anything on that set.

You could do approximately the same thing with certain cable boxes, or with a VCR or DVD player that has ch. 3 & 4 output.

The only way you'd have a reason to expand beyond ch. 3 or 4 is if you have basic analog cable (no box), in which case there might be a few more receivable channels. But that's it.

In Canada--same story effective August of next year.

Other than going to channel 3 or selecting line input, changing channels is pointless, as the set has an analog tuner. Broadcast TV signals are digital now. The only way you're going to see anything is via your vcr, dvd player, cable box or digital converter box.

Actually, I hate them all, except the ones featuring cats or little children. What I hate about them is not the product they're advertising, but the fact that they break in without warning to the most exciting part of a movie, or else the volume suddenly increases to ear-splitting level. But I guess if I were to choose the worst ones, they would be the Vonage commercial's obnoxious theme song, or the loud mouth who advertises KaBoom!

Older TVs does not work with digital broadcast system in the US. It is necessary to use a converter box to change the TV signal from the antenna to feed to older TV receiver.
