deserve it (something) /or not deserve it (something)= to have/ or not to have earned something by good or bad actions or behaviour
e.g. What have I done to deserve this? 我做了甚麼而得到這?
Unless “deserve it / not deserve it “應得的/不應得的is explained in the context, a reader doesn’t know whether it is something good or bad. 這兩個片語, 要理解上文下理才明白其真正含意。不能單指一面的!!
e.g. You deserve a rest/ holiday/ break ----à something positive about you
You deserve some punishment ----à something negative about you
