the ratio of hte radius of metal ball a to that of the metal ball b is 2:3.after melting the two metal balls,all the metal is used to recast metal ball c.

if the volume of metal ball b is 441pi /10 cm^3,find the radius of metal ball c.

Let y cm^3 be the volume of metal ball a
(2/3)^3=y/44.1pi
8/27=y/44.1pi
y=196pi/15 cm^3

Let r cm be the radius of metal ball c
4/3 ×pi ×r^3=196pi/15+441pi /10
r^3=42.875
r=3.5
∴The radius of metal ball c is 3.5cm
