英文過去式 'ed'怎樣讀?(urgent)

2010-06-06 3:45 am
I know we need to add 'ed' to most of the words when we are using past tense. But actually how to pronunce it? Sometimes we pronunce it as '突', sometimes we pronunce it as 'd' sound.

Are there any way that we can determine the way of pronuncing the 'ed'?

thank you
更新1:

I didn't mean I want to know the pronunciation of the past tense of urgent (I know it is an adj and doesn't have any past tense form). I meant the pronunciation of the 'ed' sound for different words.

✔ 最佳答案
其實 ''ed" 可分 3 類讀法, 睇情況:

1) 如果個字既尾係 't' or 'd', ed 要讀成 'id' (突音)
want --> wanted (突)
demand --> demanded (突)

2) 如果個字既尾係有氣出, 例 'ch', 'sh', 'p', 'k'...等, ed 要讀成 't' 音
watch --> watched ('t' 音)
wash --> washed ('t' 音)
park --> parked ('t' 音)

3) 如果個字不是以上兩種情況, ed讀 'd' (弱音 d)
lie --> lied (d 音)
moved --> moved (d 音)
