其實said / said that 係一人說話既句子:
'I am happy,' he said

--> he said that he was happy.

句子有冇THAT 都得. 不過香港老師一般要求學生寫埋THAT, 咁你唔好因此而失分.

如問題用'SAID TO', 你要轉TOLD

'I am sad,' he said to me.
--> he told me that he was sad.

that 亦係可以不寫

其實reported speech的said有冇that都可以成立，

例如: Mary said,'' I haven't finished my homework.''

可以改成: Mary said she hadn't finished her homework或
Mary said that she hadn't finished her homework

有冇都無所謂~
