Of all my relatives, I like my grandmother the best. She has a son and four daughters, including my mother. She was forty-two when l was born. So she’s been more like a mother to me that a grandmother. My mother was very young when I was born. I was take care by my grandmother because my mother and father need working to earn money for our family. I live with my grandmother since I was born. I went to my mother’s house only on the holidays.
My grandmother married in the China. After, she went to Hong Kong with my grandfather. She hadn’t working when my mother born. My mother is her first baby so she loved my mother very much, of course including me, my mother’s baby. My grandmother likes me greatly. When I was born, she take care me everyday. She enjoys the life with me. She was brought me to go to the Chinese restaurant everyday when I was students. She likes Chinese tea very much. She likes to brew up tea and make some snack food at home. She makes the foods more palatable and teaches the neighbor usually. She can make many of food, for example: cakes, cookies, syrup, soya bean jelly, etc… so that, I’m proud that she’s my grandmother.
My grandmother is very nice and helpful. She is optimistic and likes laughing very much. She’s short and fat. Her hair and face is long. She can speak different dialects, such as Cantonese, Mandarin, Shanghai dialect and Teochew. She loves talking very much. She was very interested in language so she is studying English now. She works hard and studies hard. She takes care of all of the domestic needs and feeds us well. She has learning many things in the Community Centre when I joined the community to make a job. She has learning dance, flower arrangement and penmanship.
She says that usually, “She wants to enjoy life.” and “She wants to do any thinks that she has liked”.

DUE TO HER AGE, she IS more likeLY TO BE MY mother RATHER THAN MY grandmother. THEREFORE, my mother GAVE BIRTH TO ME AT A VERY YOUNG AGE. I was TAKEN care by my grandmother because my PARENTS need TO work. FOR THE REASON, I live with my grandmother since I was BORNED. I went BACK HOME only on the holidays.
My grandmother GOT married in China. After, she CAME to Hong Kong WITH HER HUDSBAND. She hadn’t GOT A JOB BY THE TIME SHE GAVE BIRTH TO MY MOTHER. My mother is her first CHILD so MY GRANDMA LOVES HER very much. My grandmother LOVES ME VERY MUCH AS WELL. FROM THE FIRST DAY SINCE I was BORNED, she HAS BEEN TAKING care OF me everyday. WE ENJOY OUR TIMES TOGETHER. I REMEMBER, She TOOK me to the Chinese restaurant everyday when I was A CHILD. She likes Chinese tea very much.
