If your system come with a DVD writer (normally) which should come with Nero Burn rom or Roxio Creator both standard Burning software.Just goto "Program" and check can you see any of those.
As what you perform its working but might not apply on some of the file and that may be waste of DVD space.
So you can open any of those program to do a proper burning.
