2. a^2b^2 = (ab)^2 = k^2

3.a. a : b = 3 : 4, a : c = 2 : 5

From a : b, we get a/b = 3/4, b = 4a/3

From a : c, a/c = 2/5, c = 5a/2

So, a : b : c

= a : (4a/3) : (5a/2)

= 1 : 4/3 : 5/2

= 6 : 8 : 15

b. ac/(a^2 + b^2)

= a(5a/2)/[a^2 + (4a/3)^2]

= (5a^2/2)/(25a^2/9)

= (5/2)/(25/9)

= 9/10

7. He gets:

= 10 120 pounds X 14.5 HK$ / 1 pound

= 10 120 X 14.5

= HK$ 146 740
