BNO護照問題

1. 我想問97年前的護照 (黑色面)是否是BNO ?

No, All BNO (Old or New) is in Red Cover, if you have a Black Cover british Passport, it would be 1 of the following 3

1.) British Citizenship Passport
2.) British Dependent Terrorities Passport
3.) British Oversea Citizens Passport

All the above 3 have the black passport cover in their older version.

NOTICE THAT ALL BRITISH PASSPORT IS NOW RED IN COVER.

2. 我的黑色面護照內有英國機場海關蓋印, 內容是 (可自由出入英國)的,
那麼我可否現在去更新我的黑面護照?

No, unless your passport is British Citizens Passport, all of the above 3 will have the "Free entry to UK for passport holder" inprint on it or stamped on it.

But out of the above3, only British Citizens Passport can be renewable, cause all other 2 were Disused.

那麼我是沒得去renew 我的 "BDTC" 是嗎?

咁有無其他方法可以renew? You can no longer Renew BDTC passport if you ;

1.) Did not register your BDTC to BNO status and,
2.) Of Chinese Descents.

First thing first, your Blue (not black cover) Cover passport WOULD NOT BE BN(O) as the old Blue Cover was replaced by the new red cover British Passports in 1988, at the same year, BN(O) Citizenship was created......

As i said, your passport are either BC, BDTC or BOC Passport.

What i mean you cannot change to a new British passport because you are of Chinese Descent is not meaning you have Chinese Citizenship. But either your father or mother are Chinese and you have Chinese Hertage.

If you are an Indian, Pakistanian, Indonesian (of Pacific Origin) or soemthing like that, then you are not of Chinese Descent.

Then you can renew your BDTC to BOTC then to BC.

1. Not necessary. The red-cover passport design (without contactless smartchip) is not used until 1990s.

It is possible that your Black-cover passport is:

a. British Bependent Territories Citizen Passport (BDTC)
- Now British Overseas Territories Citizen Passport

b. British Citizen Passport (BC)

c. British National (Overseas) Passport (BN(O))

You have to check and see which one you have by checking your nationality.

2. It depends. If you are holding BDTC, now it is no longer renewable. But if you hold other like BC or BN(O), then yes you can renew it.

No. It is a done deal. You can't renew that.

唔知你講咩黑色面，BNO都係紅色嘅，有寫英文嘅，識英文就用英文睇吓係唔係三個字，頭個字係B,第二個字係N，第三個字係O．
９７前護照係BNO，但係今年係２０１０，你有冇攪錯，就算你係９７攞，護照係十年期，咁１９９７加１０年，即係２００７到期，咁你係唔係攞本過期護照．
BNO好似要去英國領使館度續領，好似要千幾二千銀，地址好似喺金鐘，你自己上網查吓啦，因為我都唔用，費事查啦，通常係讀書去英國嘅人先用．
至於香港特區護照，就係十年期，係入境發出的，港九新界都可以申請，有一百六十多個國家承認及免簽証，費用都係三百幾至四百幾．
用BNO當可以去英國啦，但它是一本護照，不是身份証，沒有居留權，若自己買機票或去旅行要逗留英國探親或多留，可逗留不超過三個月．
同時持有效香港特區護照都係咁，所以你若想逗留不超過三個月，都可用特區護照，費用平好多．
