甚麼是methodology？

方法學 (又稱為方法論；希臘語：μεθοδολογία) 的定義是

一門學問採用的方法、規則與公理；
一種特定的做法或一套做法；或
在某種知識的領域上，對探索知識的原則或做法而作之分析（梅里厄姆-韋伯斯特詞典）。
方法學意味着的通用概念就是：在某一門學問或所要探索的知識領域上，對所使用之個別方法加以整合、比較探討與批判。

方法
大多數科學學問都有它們各自的特定方法；學問的方法學包括能夠支持這些方法之準確性的原理。

在軟件工程與專案管理中，方法學通常是指一系列編撰好的建議方法，有時還包括訓練材料、正規教育性程序、工作表和圖像工具。與其被稱為方法學，這些概念比較適合叫作方法。
