My mother has mild hypertension, she takes norvasc 2.5mg for about four
months. But her ankles were found oedma, redness and itchness recently.
Does norvasc induce liver failure and renal failure? Should I stop this drug for
her? And any anti-hypertensive drug has less side effects?

ankles oedma is probably the most common side effect from Norvasc, and the ichness probably indicate for a switch of drug or pharmaceutical company...Norvasc do have reports on liver damage, and in rare condition, kidney damage... but these side effect are rare.
If I were you, I would not stop the drug but to re-visit the doctor and consult him accordingly.

雖然腫都係依隻藥既副作用
但係紅同痕就相對少見
而且亦都同肝腎問題無咩關係
每個人對唔同血壓藥既反應都唔同
所以好難話某隻藥就一定對邊個會好
目前既情況無法確定係副作用定係因為心血管問題變化引起
停藥之餘必須儘快睇番醫生搵番原因同時監察心功能
但係紅同痕就相對少見
而且亦都同肝腎問題無咩關係
