死因庭裁定血癌少女呂巧琳，在威爾斯醫院接受化療注射打錯針，是死於不幸。裁判官說，呂巧琳的死亡原因很清晰，是醫生及護士無看清楚藥物注射方法，將原應注入靜脈的藥，錯誤注入脊髓。裁判官強調，最重要是醫護人員明白，處理的是病人性命，必須小心，避免太過自負及自信。裁判官同意死者母親建議，醫護人員為病人注射前，要向病人及家屬清楚交代，他希望死者父母勇敢生活及保重。
二十一歲死者呂巧琳，零七年六月十五日在威院接受化療注射，醫生錯誤將靜脈注射的針藥打入脊髓，導致呂巧琳昏迷，二十二日後死亡。事後威院及醫管局成立委員會，提出多項建議，並已落實。
明明係醫生做錯野, 也不是「醫療失誤」....

這件事絕對是醫療失誤。但也正是為甚麼死因庭要裁判少女呂巧霖是否死於不幸/誤殺/謀殺/自然，死因聆訊庭需要研究有沒有人為這宗醫療事故負刑事責任。

medical adverse event happened all the time, and doctor need to pay for financial damage all the time.

that why all doctor, if they want to ptactice medicine in Hong Kong, they have to be insure, just like the third party insurance for driver.

if I remember correctly, O&G doctor professional insurance is 200k/year... and not too long ago a Anesthetic doctor told me that their professional insurance is 45k/year.

When the medical adverse event took place, a lot of the financial reward were done behind close door, and many time the public are not being inform.
