Aluminium = Al. Hydrochloric acid = HCl.

Al + HCl ---->AlCl3 + H2. (Its AlCl3 because aluminium has a charge of 3- then u bring it down to chlorine)

(Its H2 because hydrogen cannot exist on its own, so it has to bond (covalent bond) with another hydrogen to stay stable)

(If you're wandering how i got Aluminium with chlorine, i cnt really say how... my teacher explains to me that... they 'exchanged partners' I dont know... you should ask your teacher for insight on chemistry equation )

The balanced formula = 2Al(s) + 6HCl(aq) -----> 2AlCl3(aq) + 3H2(g).

when metal and acid react they produce salt and hydrogen

2Al + 6HCl = 2AlCl3 + 3H2

Perhaps...2Al + 6HCl = 2AlCl3 + 3H2

when aluminium reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid it forms aluminium chloride and hydrogen gas.
2Al+ 6HCl-------------->2AlCl3+3H2
