I believe that they are all referred by an agent.

To be honest, they are not private community colleges but they are private universities.

In this case, none of them is a good choice for transfer, but you simply complete your degrees from there.

Personally, I don't think it is (as they have too many students from Hong Kong). But it is a better choice compared what you have just said.

Choose either one as you want as most of the cases you will not make it to UC Berkeley.

The main reason is UC Berkeley put international students in the lowest admission priority (you are not competing with any California residents at all). And such admission rate is less than 4%.

Some students would like to save some money and also get better GPA in the first two year (freshman and sophomore) in order to transfer to some better universities. However, you have to check what courses can be transferable. You don't want to waste your money (international student is way more expensive) to repeat the same courses.

For colleges, they are really not much difference. However, what university you graduate does make a big deal. Also, if the college is close to the university (same region), the chance of transferring credit is higher.

You can call the university that you want to go, and ask them if you would like to take some summer courses in other colleges for credit transfer. What colleges do they recommend? OR, you can contact some colleges around the area and ask them about university recognized courses. Then, you can confirm with the university again. Double check is way better.

By the way, what I mean closeby may be 60 to 100 miles - about an hour plus driving.

Again, it is very common in US, the admin staff or student advisor in school should be able to answer you.
