This is an issue on Basic Financial Instruments e.g. accounts, notes and loan receivables. This is an accounting policy dealing with recognizing, derecognizing, measuring and disclosing basic financial instruments.
When a financial asset is recognized initially, an entity shall measure it at the transaction price. At the end of each reporting period, an entity shall assess whether there is objective evidence of impairment of this trade receivables. If there is objective evidence of impairment, a provision for this impairment loss should be recognized in profit or loss.
If, in a subsequent period, the amount of this impairment loss decreases, the entity shall reverse the previously recognized impairment loss either directly or by adjusting an allowance and these should be recognized of the reversal in profit or loss immediately.
