Fullmetal Alchemist Rating?

My parents don't know if Fullmetal Alchemist is appropriate so someone please tell me... I am 13 and InuYasha is considered 'remotely appropriate' in their minds. So... what would you peoples say about the rating of Fullmetal Alchemist, for me?

Full Metal Alchemist is kind of gory, I think it's a bit more mature than Inuyasha. However, it's also more appropriate as it doesn't show any scenes where someone is naked or anything. It's just that there's people fighting and stabbing each other a lot towards the end.

However, Full Metal Alchemist should be appropriate for you as I'm 14 and I've finished it so far (it's still updating. I know a lot of people from ages 12+ who are reading it and they don't mind it. It's a really good series so in my opinion, yes, it's appropiate to read.

if your parents don't care about blood...it's not a big deal...and in some episodes, they use the word hell. this is a very good show and you could actually learn alot from it, theres no problem with a thirteen year old whatching it. thats when i started watching it!

Go watch it. You will be fine. I was watching it when I was around your age. Just don't start trying to Transmute stuff or Bring you dead mother back to life and you will be fine. Its actual rating is: Fullmetal Alchemist: PG-13 - Teens 13 or older Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: R - 17+ (violence & profanity).... But especially after the Dub it is much mider than that. It is much closer to PG-13 - Teens 13 or older. Proof: It aired on TV. Brotherhood is the series that follows that manga exactly. FMA is the series that does not follow the manga exactly. Brotherhood is more gory... kinda, there is a little bit more blood. But as far brutal graffiti stuff .. I would say that it is about the same. I could explain in more detail, but not without giving out major spoilers. OH, no. FMA and FMAB aren't even close to how gory Higurashi and Elfin Lied. Those two anime are more like Snuff films than actual anime. FMA and FMAB have the usual amount of stuff for an anime that is supposed to have "real world" rules. You'll be fine.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood does follow the manga very closely (though I won't say 'exactly', since there were small, irrelevant scenes in the manga that weren't animated). The first FMA was rated PG-13, while FMA:B is rated R (17+). I wouldn't really say FMA:B is that gory, but there's usually some blood in a fight (obviously), and of course there are a few scenes that show Ed without his arm or leg... but it's much less gory than Elfen Lied.

No sexual content, but fair amounts of blood. But it's rated PG! It's also rated one of the best animes. It's become a classic. :) You could watch it. Also, watch Death Note, and be on Light's side! ^-^

I think it is a TV 14, owing to a certain level of gore in it
