I posted this question last night, but it appears to have been removed for no particular reason.

Yes it is here in New Zealand and no it is not classified as a weed (in the sense that there is any programme to eradicate/control it). The Echium Leaf Miner which was released in Australia in an attempt at biocontrol has had little effect. However, it has self introduced here and is becoming common, although its impact is, as yet, unknown. Link below to Kings seeds website should you be looking to buy some seeds.

Yes it is found in New Zealand. It has spread there.
