I suppose that you are referring to:h(x) = (x + c)/√(x2 + c)
Then
h'(x) = [√(x2 + c) - (x + c) d√(x2 + c)/dx]/(x2 + c)
= [√(x2 + c) - x(x + c)/√(x2 + c)]/(x2 + c)
h'(0) = √c/c = 1/√c
2 = 1/√c
c = 1/4
